The core values that guide the operation of the CRN+ are as follows:
CRN+ seeks to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS through its work in three unified areas: Advocacy; Capacity building and Communication.
The Global Advocacy Agenda is the policy platform guiding the advocacy work of CRN+. It consists of three key areas:
- Promoting global access to HIV/AIDS care and treatment
- Combating stigma and discrimination
- Promoting the greater and more meaningful involvement of people living with HIV/AIDS in the decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their communities Activities
CRN+ works to help people living with HIV and AIDS contribute to the HIV and AIDS response at country or regional levels across the region by providing resources, information and or empowerment.
Communication for CRN+ is based on establishing an effective communication strategy to ensure the flow of information for and among PLWHA in the Caribbean. CRN+ focuses on the principles of linking, sharing, and mentoring for PLWHA by PLWHA where possible through National, Regional and International meetings, workshops, community volunteer programs either organized either by CRN+ or its partners.
